SINGAPORE HERITAGE SOCIETY

Social Media Rebranding
I led the revamp of SHS’s social media presence, introducing a refreshed visual identity and strategic content direction. This included developing new storytelling formats that better highlighted the organisation’s advocacy and community work. Through these improvements, SHS experienced notable growth in audience reach and engagement across its platforms.

Pulau Brani
Advocacy
My involvement included research assistance, content development, and community engagement activities aimed at raising awareness of the island’s cultural memory amidst upcoming redevelopment plans. This work helped facilitate broader conversations around safeguarding intangible and site-based heritage in Singapore.
Book Fair &
T-Shirt Fundraising
-
Project Lead for T-Shirt Fundraising Collaboration with Wacky Wears
-
Programmer for Book Fair
I played a key role in SHS’s community-driven fundraising initiatives. This included assisting with the coordination of a book fair that raised over $4,000 for heritage advocacy efforts, as well as supporting a T-shirt collaboration campaign to broaden public visibility and audience participation. These initiatives demonstrated how creative merchandising and accessible events can build stronger community investment in heritage causes.

Kelong E63 Documentation (Archival Project)
I supported the archival documentation of Kelong E63, one of Singapore’s last remaining floating fishing platforms. My responsibilities involved on-site visual documentation, including photography, to capture its structure, environment, and cultural importance prior to its removal. This project contributed to preserving the lived histories of coastal communities and highlighted the urgency of recording disappearing local traditions.
My time with the Singapore Heritage Society has deepened my commitment to understanding how spaces, communities, and cultural memory intersect.
Working across advocacy, documentation, and public engagement has encouraged me to pursue opportunities in urban planning and heritage-focused placemaking, whether through research or on-the-ground activations. I am eager to continue learning in this field and remain open to roles that allow me to contribute meaningfully to Singapore’s evolving cultural and spatial landscape.
